Rafi Properties has presented revised early-stage plans for the redevelopment of the Somernova Campus in Somerville. Since withdrawing the original proposal in February, the team has redesigned the project to reflect community input. The updated plans call for 1.6M square feet of development with 690,000 SF of R&D space, 300,000 SF of office, retail, community, and arts space plus 100 residential units. Changes also include proposed building heights ranging from 6-9 stories (down from 9-14) and a large reduction in parking from 1,250 spaces to 748 spaces.
