Deep Tech.
Real Impact.

Somernova is more than a campus.

It's a community of builders, scientists, and dreamers who show up every day because they believe technology can make life genuinely better.

We don't just share space.

We share a mission.

Since the days of American Tube Works, this property has been where innovations that made a positive impact localy and globally. We've kept that spirit. What's changed is the scale and types of the innovations — and the breadth of people showing up to solve them.

Engineered to accelerate growth

A modern industrial laboratory with large windows, white walls, and a high ceiling. There are workbenches, scientific equipment, and two blurred people working, including one person at a computer and another near a machine.

We exist for the innovators chasing what hasn't been done yet — giving them the community, resources, and space to turn the impossible into the inevitable.

A large indoor conference or seminar with an audience watching a speaker at a podium on a stage. Behind the speaker, there are five seated panelists and a large screen displaying the name Tom Knesky. The room features multiple levels with people standing and watching. The venue has modern architecture with exposed ductwork and large windows.

A youth-led space for the next generation of Somerville builders

Co-create the future with the future.

The Dojo is Somerville's first youth-led learning center — a place where teens design the programs, run the workshops, and shape what gets built next. It's supported by Rafi Properties in partnership with community organizations and the City of Somerville.
